I thought i’d share these pictures of the London vs Jaguars game held in London last year. I lived in Dallas for a while, then Los Angeles, so I’ve been able to see some nice games. I was at the TO + THE STAR game at the old Texas stadium, I’ve been to the Thanksgiving day game at the Death Star, preseason in San Diego and training camp in Oxnard.
I can honestly say, that the London game was the best game experience of my life. It seemed like a mini super bowl, so much going on, HUGE party in the parking lot of Wemby. Stub hub, where I got my tickets, had free candy, drinks, sunscreen, cotton candy and face painting, maybe they always do, but it was nice regardless.
The game really is a Jags home game, so much propaganda…between plays little exposes on the Jaguars. And honestly there were quite a few Jaguars fans. But you get the impression they are just getting ready for a move, if it ever happens, it WILL be the Jags.
Anyways, if anyone ever tells you that the people in London don’t care about the NFL tell them they are full of shit. This city goes CRAZY every year…banners up and down the most posh shopping street in town. The Nike store turns into an NFL zone, which is really cool to see. And check out how much effort the fans put into the outfits, hahaha I love the Moo Boyz, hillarious. A much more fun scene than the Dallas crowd I must say…no offense intended, but my memory of the Dallas crowd was being told to sit down because I was standing up rooting to much. LAME!
Anyways, ONTO THE PICS, if you have any questions about this event let me know! Unfortunately the Cowboys wont be coming to London this year, but I’ll probably still go see one of the games.
